About Us: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

Yesterday:

I love unique jewelry - I have had a fascination with creating it as long as I can remember.  As young girl I would spend hours trying to create that perfect masterpiece at our family business.  You see my family had a sign business where the options were almost limitless.  We had a plastic department, a glass department, a metal department and an electrical department. There were so many materials for my little hands to work with - copper wire, color coated wire, glass tubing with fires to melt, blow, twist & turn it, sheet metal scraps to bend & punch, Plexiglas scraps to glue and shape.  Oh the possibilities were endless.

Today:

Since my childhood days my love for jewelry has not wavered.  I am always looking for that piece that really stands out and makes a statement that reflects how I feel at that time -  sometimes romantic & soft, sometimes fun & whimsical, other times bold & sophisticated.  Whatever the mood, jewelry can truly reflect and reveal something about the person wearing it.

& Tomorrow:

862.JPGYou may wonder where "Imani" came from.  It means FAITH in Swahili.  My heart longs to be able to raise funds to continue to help orphans in Africa.  Over the last couple of years my family has been traveling to Africa to help make a difference.  We have worked with a team in Tanzania and the Kibera Slums in Nairobi, Kenya.  We have helped to provide medical care - built a community center for medical clinics & education, brought water in to the Masaai, are in the process of building a children's home for orphans - plus much, much more.  I have the faith to believe all things are possible - so I am trying to do my part in using my God-given talents to raise money to continue the journey.  So a minimum of 20% of my sales go to helping people in Africa.  My daughter Madison’s Mini-Domino Necklaces have 100% profit going to her future mission trip there and to children in Africa.
